Flight mass-scheduling and corresponding loss of demand
EDIT: There are screenshots attached to this, they'll take a bit of time to load if your internet isn't amazing. Not sure why this is happening, they load very slowly for me even though I uploaded them.
I noticed one of my planes was stuck in MAN with no scheduled flights, so flew it back to JFK where its based, and noticed that I only got 54 passengers, while usually there's several hundred on the JFK-MAN-JFK route. I investigated MAN-JFK through the route research page and found this:
Demand was, accordingly, very near zero due to the abundance of supply. I feel sorry for the other two airlines trying to fly that route. Obviously this is not meant to be like this, as I only fly this route 7 times a week (my airline is Jade Air). I checked the flight history page and was greeted with this amazing sight:
I'm not sure for how many days this had been going on, but it appears that the aircraft became stuck in MAN on the 21st (no return flight to JFK was scheduled) and that is where I found it today. While looking through the history page I also found this gem:
These screenshots show the 18th, 19th, and 23rd, but it also did the same thing on all days in between, and I'm pretty sure it was happening for at least a few days before the 18th (again, I did not scroll back far enough to make sure). After seeing this issue on the TPA-MSY route I check the flight history, and sure enough:
While a similar issue was already reported by me some time ago, it happened on a much smaller scale, and at that point it was thought that only one of the flight actually counted as having flown. This influence on demand shows that the game somehow registers all these flights as having taken place.
