Forum Alliances

In Airline Empires, we have these forum alliances, which are sort of related to in-game alliances, but are quite different. I already talked to Unk about this, but I'm putting it here so it's on the record 😛

So basically, for those who aren't on AE, or aren't active on the AE alliances, here's how it would work:

There would be a separate forum within the AE forums called "alliances", which would then house all the forum alliances. Each forum alliance would get their own subforum within that alliances subforum. Within their subforum, they would have a password protected "member lounge" or whatever they wanted to call it", an applications section for people to apply with their airlines, and an "admin lounge" or the like for their admin team. However, it doesn't have to be just like that. The beauty of it is that each alliance team can select their own subforum layout. Unk would be the one who would set passwords and re-arrange layouts for alliance teams, but one member of the admin team for each alliance would get moderator privelages within their own subforum, where they'd be able to delete posts, edit posts, etc.

Then how people would be in an alliance - basically the founding team would pick the members through whatever application process they choose - they can make it as exclusive or accepting as they want. Then, RP-wise, airlines would codeshare, etc. As for in-game stuff, when in-game alliances are implemented, the admin team would start an in-game alliance for players to join in, and this would allow for the forum alliance to be implemented in-game. In the forum alliance's member lounge, members would talk, etc., share ideas, whatever they want, really. Then the admin lounge would be the admin team of the alliance discussing what to do, etc.

I know that this won't be implemented immedietly, but whenever it could be - that would be really great!
