Small Aircraft Maintenance Costs

The fixed family maintenance costs for small aircraft are way too high. It's currently something like 130k for the Beechcraft 1900, and almost 150k for the Jetstream family. This is outrageously high - the 1900 has operating costs of something like $650 an hour and 1500 hours yearly utilization (approximate numbers off the top of my head), which includes fuel, crew, maintenance, etc. To be fair, I can't remember if the family costs are weekly or monthly, but even if they are monthly (though I'm pretty sure its weekly) the current number FAR exceeds the true operating cost of the type, and that's not even including the fuel and crew etc. Looking through the aircraft research page, this seems to be the case for all small aircraft.
